frozen with emotion

A blog about the fellow who had one of the main roles in the musical landscape of Tom Waits?

Let's jump straight to Marc and his free-punk-funk-experimental-psychedelic-post-electronica-collective. Last night I went to a concert with them, in a small club named Cosmopolite in Oslo. Far away from sold out, but what a gig! Lucky me that "confiscated" the last table in front row. Great band -awesome drummer, and Eszter Balint, the singer and violinist was a great suprise- I still can’t forget their amazing version of Iggy pop’s ”Cry for love.” It was ”touché”.

To have a nice convercation with this sympathetic ”hombre” after the concert was just great. Talking about Raindogs, Cuba and music quite made the evening.

Btw, Marc Ribot likes using Fender extra heavy picks.

Christmas Card From Mr. Cave

I found this photo session on my camera. My children had shooted photos of their teddy bear and friends. Early this week I gave my beautiful wife Mr. Cave’s full address and phone number as a present -she is Nick's biggest fan- and then I was joking that now she could send him a Christmas card. I also remembered a stripe of the norwegian comics artist Lars Lauvik, and started to spin up this story.

PS! She's not a Nick Cave stalker.

Sarah: Wow, a letter to me!

Sarah: It's a Christmas Card!

Mr. Monk: In February?

"Is the point of dropping a Christmas card into my mail-box the night before Christmas Eve to make my concience hunt met he rest of the holidays? Well, here comes a Christmas wish for next year: fuck you! I hope you burn in hell, you bastard!"

Yours sincerely
The dark man of rock'n'roll

Nick Cave

Mr. Monk: That's soooo sweet. Take a look at the backside of the envelope, he made a drawing of you, hanging from a Christmas tre...

Double Mother's Day: Two Cakes or One?

The modern Mother's Day holiday was created by Anna Jarvis as a day for each family to honor its mother, and it's now celebrated on various days in many places around the world.

Mother's Day is celebrated around the world on different dates because it's origin variates.

Norway celebrates Mother's Day the second Sunday of February, while Cuba does it on the second Sunday of May. Personally, I do it anytime I get the chance. Viva la vida!

Double Mother's Day: Two Cakes or One?

Zapatero, a tus zapatos!

Zapatero, a tus zapatos!

She has about 20 or 30 pair of shoes in her wardrobe. Last night when I came home, there where about 10 pair of them spread over the floor. So what is it about women that makes them so interested in shoes. Is it because they like to be comfortable or is there a deeper reason to their shoes than that?
